Traveling Around The World

Hello, kids. I like to travel. How about you? Traveling in different countries opens our mind and expands our life experience. While the COVID-19 pandemic seems to show a sign of easing, more and more people start to plan for a trip to foreign countries. Before visiting a country, it is important to understand the basic information about that country. Knowing more about that country will make you easier to integrate into a new culture.

Do you know that Taiwan is in Asia? You also know the capital of Taiwan is Taipei City. The population of Taiwan is more than 23 million. The tallest mountain in Taiwan is Mt. Jade, and the tallest building is Taipei 101, which was the tallest building in the world. Many foreign tourists like to visit beautiful attractions, such as Sun Moon Lake, Taroko National Park, Alishan, etc. Also, visiting night markets is a must for foreigners. You can find countless delicious street food in a night market.

Last semester, the sixth-grade students learned the names of different countries in English class. They showed great interest in information and culture of those countries. I introduced countries in different continents, and they needed to search online for related pictures to color the worksheets of the countries. By coloring the worksheets, they gained more information about other counties and showed their aesthetic perception.
